What's your name and your business?

My name is Nataly Manary and I own the Teeny Cantina Mobile Bartending Services.

Tell us more about your business.

So my business is the Teeny Cantina Mobile Bartending and more. So what we do is we pull up to your house, corporate events, weddings, anniversaries, and we have this awesome 1969 trailer that we've converted into a Spanish cantina. We do offer other services like being able to supply all the products that you need in order to have your event. We also outsource bartenders as well, so that you don't have to do any of that and just have a great time. We've been in business for one whole year, this is going to be our second year. We've had an amazing first year and a lot of support from the Vista Chamber of Commerce and our overall community. I'm very, very grateful for the support that I've gotten and I really feel like this whole year is a continuous example, a sign that you build up strength as you go and just don't go backwards, just keep propelling forward.

What inspired you to become a business owner?

What inspired to be a business owner is though my mom. She has always had pursuits to own her own business. I've always admired her, her strength and her perseverance. She grew up from literally nothing from Morelia, Michoacan and seeing her always push forward and never giving up showed me what it was like to turn your dreams into reality.

What challenges have you faced as a woman-owned business?

As a woman in business, the struggles that I've gone through are having people who are going to make you second guess yourself. A lot of feedback of 'Well, are you sure you can do that' 'How are you going to fit that in your schedule with your children' and 'How are you going to be everywhere at once'. But what I've learned is that balance is one of the biggest things that you have to obtain. Whether is through your business, and then your family life, and just also self-care in order to have all of that as a well-rounded lifestyle is the only way that you can keep going.

What advice would you give to other women entrepreneurs?

The advice that I can give to other women starting their own business is to not let other people's opinions or advice that are negative, don't let them cloud your mind. Always have a clear vision of what you're doing and why you're doing it. I really suggest having even like a journal of gratitude that every time you start getting your vision blurred, you kind of lose your way, you can always go back and remember why you're doing what you do. Don't forget that you are an individual and that you are capable of really anything you want as long as you keep your mind clear and your motives strong.
